Realtor's Closing Gifts
Why do you, as a Realtor, want to give your clients a gift to celebrate their closing? Hopefully, it's at least in part because you are happy for them and you are also enjoying the good feeling that comes with helping others and your own bank account at the same time.
Now, having already mentioned your finances, we can look at some other reasons why you want to give them a closing gift. The gift that you give them can pay for itself many times over if it helps them to remember you the next time one of their friends, relatives, or neighbors is thinking of buying or selling real estate. In some cases, where promotional materials such as mugs or keychains imprinted with your agency's information, have been included in a Realtor's closing gift basket, others may see your advertising directly.
It is of the utmost importance that your closing gift is not just about you -- it has to be about the recipients or it is likely to back-fire! We will be happy to work with you to customize your gift basket to suit your clients' tastes. The more you know about their preferences the better "fit" your closing gift will be. If there is a pet in the household we strongly recommend including a small gift for the pet as well. A toy or treats for the cat or dog, or even a packet of goldfish food included in the gift basket can do a lot towards making you more memorable to your clients. (After all, your clients probably think of their pets as "members of the family", so you should welcome them to their new home as well.)
The House Gift Basket
As you can plainly see, this realtor's closing gift basket is shaped like a house. The edible contents include a box of chocolate and caramel "delicious fishes", tasty popcorn, snack mix, a boxed cookie assortment, cheese, and crackers. We have also included an emergency flashlight -- the type that doesn't require batteries. This item could well prove handy while the household contents are in a state of transition (ie. still packed in numerous cardboard boxes!)
The house gift basket pictured above includes satin ribbon imprinted with the agency's logo and business name. We would be happy to provide this service to any interested Realtors. There is no plate charge as long as you can provide us with a clean, high resolution electronic image. If this is not the case, we can consult with a graphics expert who can quote the cost of having your logo brought up to printable quality before proceeding.
Please note that we have not added a shipping charge to the price of our realtor's closing gifts as we expect these to be of interest mostly to our local market. Personalized Closing Gift
We have taken the imprinted satin ribbon to an even higher level in the pictured realtor's gift basket by printing not only the agency logo, but also the particular agent's name. You've done all the hard work, so it's only fair that your clients remember you, not just the business name!

Other Realtor's Gifts
We have been concentrating on Realtor's closing gifts because it is just about a tradition for a Realtor to give a gift to his or her clients; however, there are times when a smaller gift may well be in order. Anyone engaged in business likes to get a referral from a satisfied customer and Realtors are no exception. Why not acknowledge the referral (and hopefully encourage more of the same) with a small gift?
To Your Health!
A mug makes a great container for a smaller gift and it's one more way to get your agency name in front of people's eyes. It bears repeating though, in order to have the desired effect, the gift has to be at least partly about them, not all about you! An empty promotional mug is, shall we say, "uninspiring",but add some treats for the recipient, dress it up a bit, and now you have a gift.
Even in the case of a small gift like this, it's important to tailor it to your recipient's tastes as much as possible. If you know that he or she prefers tea to coffee, or if neither is favored but hot chocolate would be a hit, let us know. It's our job to make you look good. You supply the mug and we'll do the rest.
